Clinica Luz Del Mundo / Light of the World Clinic, Inc. is an IRS recognized 501c3 organization. The clinic was established in 1989 by the late Dr. Erwin M. Vasquez and other community leaders with a mission to provide quality culturally sensitive health care and preventative medical services to the disadvantaged residents of Broward County.
The clinic serves the disadvantaged at-risk indigent immigrant population; namely, the burgeoning Hispanic community who speak little or no English, the Creole speaking community who receive little or no health care due to cultural barriers, and other minorities who lack medical treatment in their native language for fear and socio-economic status.By providing free medical services to the underserved and at-risk indigent community, the clinic provides early medical intervention to minorities by treating them and stabilizing their hypertension, diabetes, coronary disease, obesity and other widespread diseases.
