Friendship Medical Clinic & Pharmacy exists to provide a primary medical care home for those who are uninsured and financially unable to get routine medical care.

Patient Eligibility
An individual may qualify, if he or she:
is 18-64 years of age.
is a resident of Horry County for at least four months and can provide proof - if you cannot provide proof, you will be eligible four months from the time you apply.
falls at or below 185% of the federal poverty guidelines.
has no access to medical insurance, Medicaid or Medicare.
Application Process
The office is open for calls Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Please call (843) 347-7178 to request an application. Applications can also be obtained from the clinic during clinic hours (8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.).
Documents Required for Application
South Carolina driver's license or South Carolina photo ID (obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles)
Social Security card
Verification of income status
This may include either:
Tax return
Social Security benefit statement
Disability statement letter
Unemployment statement letter
Retirement fund statement/pension statement
Copy of alimony decree/child support statement
Letter from employer, if paid in cash
If you cannot produce any of the above forms of verification for your income status, write a statement that explains how your monthly needs are met (i.e. who is paying your bills?).
If you are employable, please provide a statement form from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission that confirms that you are registered and actively seeking a job.
